The challenge

Mass litigation operations need to continuously handle a large volume of cases. For each case, legal professionals and support areas need to locate relevant information in the records, understand the sentence, identify update criteria, calculate the amounts due, and execute subsequent steps to enable payment. The repetition of this flow increases operational effort and makes standardization, traceability, and verification of calculations critical.

The solution developed

CISP1 developed an application in which the user uploads the case records and AI automatically structures information such as parties involved, magistrates, lawyers, case summary, and sentence content. Within the same case, a conversational interface allows for consulting details in natural language, reducing the time needed to locate information distributed across lengthy documents.

The application analyzes the sentence to identify applicable update criteria and indices, executes the calculations of updated values, and presents the respective calculation memory for verification. When provided for in the workflow and technically available, the solution also integrates with Court portals to support automatic generation of payment slips, maintaining human validation before finalizing financial steps.
