Intelligent construction monitoring with drones and computer vision

The challenge

Construction monitoring depends on recurring inspections, photographic records, and comparisons between different moments of the project. When this process is predominantly manual, consolidating physical progress, locating changes, and identifying visual deviations requires significant effort and can vary depending on each team's recording method.

The solution developed

CISP1 developed an application that receives images and videos captured by drones and uses computer vision to organize the material, identify areas and elements of interest, and compare records made in different periods.

The solution creates an analytical layer over the construction's visual collection. Instead of depending solely on the inspection of isolated images, the person in charge now has structured evidence of evolution, changes, and situations that deserve technical analysis.
